Healthier Holiday Side Dishes
On one hand it, seems a little early to be thinking about the holidays. On the other, I know the holiday’s will be here in the blink of an eye. Our holiday table is always filled with wonderful things to eat, wonderful and calorie loaded. While I’m a firm believer in everything in moderation I like to balance out our menu with a few healthier choices. Yes, I love some of the casseroles and the mashed potatoes that come with a holiday meal. But I don’t like that stuffed, I’ve just eaten a week’s worth of calories feeling. So I gathered up a few recipes to share with you. Add one or more of these healthier holiday side dishes to your menu for some lighter tastier options for you and your guests.
Healthier Holiday Side Dish – 1
Simple Spinach Salad. Fresh Spinach, red onion and pecans with a sprinkle of bleu cheese and a tangy Dijon vinaigrette.

Green beans and Tomato Garlic Butter Saute. This recipe does have a little bit of butter, but everything in moderation. The butter is key please don’t leave it out!

Roasted Rosemary Potatoes. Savory rosemary, garlic and crispy potatoes, what’s not to love? I do adore mashed potatoes but I love the crunchy texture and savory flavors in these potatoes!
